hey loves! so i just came back from my 1st escapade of the summer...destination..montreal! and let me tell you, the experience was beyond words..just unbelievably amazing!! i truly fell in love with the city, and unknowingly cherished all of its flaws. as i strolled down those endless streets, getting high off the rhythmical sounds of my ipod i couldn't imagine a cooler city. the atmosphere honestly elated my spirits, and i developed a newborn confidence. the street fashion and the urban vive were inspiring, and i WILL go back! ok so now im off, im boarding the plane in like 30 minutes to nicaragua(: peaceee

a rainy day spent inside the house watching movies like "garden state", "breakfast club" and "priceless". although i didn't stay inside this whole day, i went to 'berry's for a quick bite to eat. oo and montreal is in 10 MORE DAYS(: i really cannot wait for: shopping, more shopping, and lastly.. SHOPPING! but i am dreading the 5 hour plane ride =/ long plane rides make me restless/nauseous (my trips to south america and europe were hell)

soo sorry i have completely abandoned this child of mine =/ ive been meaning to do a couple of outfit posts, but i was just too lazy! (the whole 'le rève' theme is really taking a toll on me.. *yawn*) so far i HAVE been living up to my summer expectations, although i do plan on being even more rebellious. today's agenda was comprised of chilling with the coolest people, stuffing our faces with sushi, cracking up to 'the hangover', and making a quick stop at urban outfitters (where i bought a cute little Buddha representing 'harmony', haha its my latest obsession)

Have you ever had the experience of love.. Lustful love to be exact? The kind that makes you anxiety prone, a sudden insomniac, a complete melodramatic, and a helpless romantic. I haven’t really had the pleasure..that complete loss of control. I pride myself, most days, as a level headed individual. However, there have been a few days-accumulating throughout the years, when I wish I was reckless. Reckless in the sense that I don’t have to care about others’ opinions/judgments, and worry about future repercussions. Reckless in the sense that I value my feelings first and follow my heart's "crush".
So many wars, plays, revolutions, riots, and novels have been based on this feeling of love. As a simple observer, I can say that a person simply seems completely out of their body when they gaze into the eyes of their significant other. Into the “other” that clandestinely became a whole. Sometimes, love reaches a point that make “I” s turn into “We”s. There is no more other, the person now joins their lover and makes a unit. This phenomenon is what inspires the masterminds of these very wars, plays, revolutions, etc. It completely defies the laws of science. What was once two, suddenly becomes one. It must be nice to allow an"other" into one's life, enabling inner daemons to temporarily hide. The daemons that leave one feeling insecure, lonely, that force one to be “level-headed” instead of reckless.
The daemons that cause you to nitpick at every flaw, so that maybe, just maybe, you’ll be good enough. Good enough to relish a morsel of this phenomenon,generally referred to as love.

So first day of spring break and what do i do? go to Lady Gaga concert with my friends. Amazing? no. IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE! she is so unique and gahh im obsessed, there aren't enough words to describe how much i love her, and her music. the concert was at a club, and we were standing above her with a perfect view of everything. i was swaying my body to the music, and mouthing the lyrics to songs like 'poker face', 'love game' and 'Paparazi'. Her talent for theatrics and entertaining makes her an unforgettable performer, and one of my fav artists. It was Chester French and the White tie Affair that performed before her. and guess what? they were also INCREDIBLE! ughh i would do anything to relive the night.

Having one of those sunny days again(: although living in Miami can sometimes be unbearable, like humidity, and the constant struggle to attain the 'perfect body', its days like this one, that just makes me never want to leave this city! I woke up to the smell of my starbucks tall cafe latte, and swirled around the kitchen table with music from The Beatles on full blast. later i took a stroll down coral gables and had lunch with Amèlie at a french cafè called Le Boudoir..mmm panini, chocolate mouse, and later cappucino. haha i have no idea why i'm not obese! The sun was shining, the rays were delicately caressing my face, and the slight breeze cooled my rosy cheeks. lately its been my main priority to embrace everything life has to offer, and with bright days like these, its almost hard not to.

so i just came back from a traditional Sunday dinner with my family. the same location as always; bugatti's: a charming family restaurant, that serves Italian food, right in the center of coral gables. the topic of conversation was colleges. now that Amelie is graduating high school and attending Bowdoin in the fall, my dad felt the need to 'move us' (the usual) by his so-called 'inspirational knowledge' from his 'years of experience'. (take note of the sarcasm) but this time his words actually came through to me.

some of his inquisitive words:

"in the end the only opinion that truly matters is yours."

this was the ensemble i wore for my older sister's (Amelie Bijoux Love) 18th birthday dinner. We celebrated her birthday, in a secluded restaurant called Barton G's in Miami beach. The restaurant had an air of relaxed sophistication; with miami socialites dining in the nonchalant outdoor garden. The dishes were so creative and unique.. LITERALLY! i ordered the 'brick house chicken', and the chicken was served on top of a brick. My sister ordered 'popcorn shrimp' as an appetizer, and the shrimp came with popcorn! it was amazing. My look was inspired by the Miami beach scene. airy white shirt outlined with purple and gold embroidery paired with purple pumps..not my usual outfit choice, but perfect for the occasion/ambiance. The shirt is from a boutique at south beach, shoes are Michael Kors, and bangles come from some street seller in Croatia

Okk..so i know that Coldplay's Viva La Vida album came out last summer, but i CAN'T help myself! To shorten my immense love for Coldplay: Chris Martin is god. and his songs are my religion. Although Coldplay's former albums were sick!! i think Viva La Vida was the most compelling and impactful. I find truth and consolement within the lyrics. You know the saying: revenge is sweet? well in this case, it truly truly is. I know i should be the bigger person, and forget about what she did, but its so much more fun messing with her head. I don't want to be misleading, i HATE drama. with a passion. but i just couldn't help myself. When you find out that your best friend for a year is fake, it would be stupid to let her think that she can walk all over you. Whats my form of revenge? subtle, but effecting. quietly telling friends what she did, and them going against her. ending up with a reputation tarnished, and regret. i know.. not the mind of an evil plot maker, but i have more imp. things to deal with. like writing a script in french.ughh. or finish reading the last pages of garden spells. :)

What is a dream of creation?

It is a dream about creating fashion and creating a name for yourself in the fashion industry.
I constantly fantasize about moving to New York or Paris and becoming an up and coming designer, and having my collections viewed all around the world.
I view the fashion industry as a dream world, where creativity and imagination are endless.
Since I constantly revere about this "dream world" my blog will revolve around it: the newest trends, my latest inspirations, different cultures and lifestyles, etc.
Ultimately I wish to enter the world of creation.
